Network Administrator

Lone Mountain Land Company

Lone Mountain Land Company (LMLC) manages the planning, entitlement, building, marketing, and sale of premier real estate communities around Big Sky, Montana. The company supports world-class operations at Spanish Peaks Mountain Club and Moonlight Basin and oversees real estate activities at Spanish Peaks, Moonlight Basin, Big Sky Town Center, and other projects in the Big Sky region.

Position Overview

The Network Administrator works to maintain, secure, and improve network infrastructure across all properties. This role works closely with our Help Desk, internal IT leadership, and external consulting partners, and is a great fit for someone who can work independently while also taking direction on larger projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and support switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure across multiple site locations
  • Serve as the escalation point for Help Desk network-related issues
  • Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, wireless, and network security issues through to resolution
  • Monitor network performance and implement security best practices
  • Collaborate with consulting partners on network design and implementation projects
  • Assist with network deployments, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, configurations, and diagrams
  • Administer Network Access Control (NAC) solutions, including ClearPass policy management
  • Support Privileged Access Management (PAM) using Securden, including account oversight and access controls
  • Support VoIP and other network-connected systems
  • Identify opportunities to improve network reliability, performance, and security
Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of networking experience
  • Foundational knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless systems
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and basic network security principles
  • Experience with network troubleshooting and monitoring tools
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
  • CCNA or equivalent certification preferred; Network+ considered
Work Environment

On-site at multiple properties in and around Big Sky. Role includes both office and field work in a hospitality/resort environment, with exposure to outdoor conditions and travel between site locations.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift equipment, run cabling, climb ladders, and perform installations in a variety of environments.
