Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate students' mental health needs, identifying their strengths and areas for growth. Deliver individual, family, and group therapy using a variety of evidence-based modalities tailored to the unique contexts of the school environment. Develop personalized treatment plans, incorporating specific goals and target interventions based on individual assessments. Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions and psychoeducational workshops designed to empower students and their families. Collaborate closely with educators, school counselors, and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care for students. Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment, including developing safety plans to support students in acute distress. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring continuity of care. Actively engage in professional development opportunities, including training and workshops, to enhance therapeutic techniques and methodologies. Patient Population / Client Focus The primary client focus includes students from various backgrounds facing mental health challenges within the school environment. Many students may be dealing with anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, or trauma-related conditions. This role is critical in fostering a nurturing environment that addresses these challenges and promotes academic and personal growth. Qualifications A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required. Current and active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). A minimum of two years of experience in mental health working in outpatient or school-based settings. Strong understanding of evidence-based therapies and how to implement them effectively. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and families. Preferred Experience Experience with school systems and knowledge of educational policies regarding mental health support. Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, or solution-focused therapy. Proven ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
