Project Manager

Project Manager - Post Tensioning Location: 15015 East Freeway B, Channelview, Texas 77530. Hours: 40 hrs/wk; 9am - 5pm; M-F. Responsibilities: Confers with and directs supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures. Interprets specifications and coordinates various phases of construction to prevent delays. Directs activities of workers on projects for construction of bridges, locks, dams, underground tunnel systems, etc. Manages multiple labor crews, overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of craft employees (union/non‑union) and subcontractors. Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction based on timing and staffing requirements. Inspects work in progress to ensure workmanship conforms to specifications and construction schedules. Procures tools and materials for schedule compliance. Interviews, hires, trains, and orients new employees; plans, assigns, and directs work. Appraises performance, rewards and disciplines employees, handles complaints, and resolves problems. Coordinates with supervisory, engineering, inspection, and supplier personnel to resolve construction problems and improve methods. Prepares or reviews reports on progress, materials used, costs, and adjusts schedules as indicated. Evaluates erection work plans and provides guidance on means and methods. Provides guidance on organizational structure for post‑tensioning execution. Guides field engineers on safety aspects related to segmental erection and post‑tensioning. Develops strategic plans for efficient execution of post‑tensioning. Participates in initiatives to increase the company’s self‑perform post‑tensioning. Estimates post‑tensioning work and aids in finding new projects. Requirements: 12 years of experience in post‑tensioning management or construction management positions. Experience must include post‑tensioning, cable stay erecting, seismic anchoring, and segmental construction. Reference #139244-25.
