Adjunct Instructor of Mathematics

Scope The Department of Mathematics & Physics in the Getty College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio Northern University welcomes applicants for a part‑time, adjunct faculty position in Mathematics. Candidates with backgrounds in all areas of Mathematics will be considered. This individual will serve as the instructor of record for introductory Mathematics courses, such as College Algebra, Pre‑Calculus and single variable Calculus, or other courses as assigned. Typical assignments include one or two courses each semester, depending on student demand. Required Skills The successful candidate will demonstrate good interpersonal skills, as well as the interest and ability to mentor students both inside and outside the classroom. Candidates with experience teaching undergraduate, introductory Mathematics courses are encouraged to apply. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in Mathematics or 18 hours graduate coursework in Mathematics is required. Those with a doctorate in Mathematics and experience teaching Mathematics at the university level are encouraged to apply.
