As a Security Officer Armed Front Desk in Jacksonville, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed Front Desk Officer at a dynamic education location, where you will remain a welcoming, visible presence while managing access, assisting visitors, and supporting daily security-related operations. In this stationary role, you will deliver strong customer service, clear communication, and dependable professionalism while helping to deter incidents through integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a front desk location within an educational setting.
• Monitor visitor access, review identification and/or sign-in records, and direct students, staff, guests, and vendors according to site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
• Support front desk operations by observing lobby activity, maintaining detailed logs and reports, answering phones when assigned, and reporting unusual or suspicious behavior.
• Assist with access control and security-related awareness by helping to deter unauthorized entry, verifying credentials, and following established procedures for deliveries, after-hours requests, and visitor management.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPO is required.
• An Armed Guard Card and/or License is required.
• A minimum of 4 years of military or law enforcement experience, or a criminal justice degree, is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
