Fixed Income Core Development Engineer

Location: New York, New York, United States of America Hours: 40 hours per week Line of Business: Technology Solutions Pay Range: 110,000 - 145,000 USD (base salary; variable compensation may be offered) Team Context The Fixed Income Electronic Trading Team is part of the TD Securities Technology Solutions group responsible for delivering fixed‑income cash securities pricing, dealer‑to‑dealer order execution, dealer‑to‑client quoting solutions, automated execution capabilities, cash risk calculation, and sales technology. Position Overview As part of the Core Development eTrading Development Team, you will iteratively develop eTrading libraries and services used across a range of pricing, distribution, and execution applications. Key Accountabilities Employ and advocate architecture frameworks, standards, and patterns to facilitate consistent and secure solutions design and delivery Identify and communicate any cross‑functional issues that may affect other areas and lead resolution of escalated issues Responsible for the creation and adoption of new design patterns and standards in support of the development team Work effectively as a team, supporting other members of the team in achieving business objectives and providing client services Qualifications Key Skills Strong Java developer Enterprise Integration Patterns Design Patterns Concurrency, networking, algorithms, data structures Source‑control knowledge (preferably Git) Documentation skills CI/CD tools (TeamCity, Jenkins) Dependency management (Nexus, Maven, Gradle) Shell scripting and Linux Jira/Confluence experience Nice to Haves Software change control knowledge for banking Containers and Kubernetes Solace and Solace Libs Electronic Trading knowledge Low‑latency Java concepts, garbage collection ION Marketview platform configuration and development Continuous Delivery concepts (deployment pipelines) DevOps concepts Python JavaScript (Node, React, TypeScript) Benefits Our Total Rewards package includes base salary, variable compensation, health and well‑being benefits, retirement programs, paid time off, banking benefits, career development, and reward and recognition.
