Development Manager

Position Summary The Development Manager is responsible for refining some systems and developing new Development systems that lead to a more effective and efficient process, while increasing major gifts, improving donor relations, managing the annual individual giving campaign and luncheon, fostering board relationships, maximizing the effectiveness of New Ballet’s special events, and coordinating all development activities. Responsibilities Responsible for participating in and co-developing a comprehensive development strategy that meets New Ballet’s annual operating goals and lays the groundwork for increasing contributed revenue Responsible for supporting and monitoring the annual fund and our sponsorships, while supporting the implementation of new strategies and retention efforts that ultimately increase the revenue in these programs Organize, lead, and support tours and the annual luncheon Responsible for supporting the ED and development committee within our development infrastructure for major gift fundraising Manage the individual giving letter campaign Systematically track donor receivables Establish timelines for when materials are needed from staff and share that timeline so that they have lead time to prepare reports, evaluations, prepare as tour speakers, and other tasks Support the ED in the organization’s diverse relationships with government, foundations, and corporations for continued success in institutional fundraising. Support senior leadership to motivate and strengthen the Board by assuming an active role in serving and supporting board fundraising activities and the Development Committee. Work closely with staff, trustees, and other volunteers to maximize the effectiveness of New Ballet’s special events. Responsible for financial monitoring of philanthropic revenue and expenses, including supporting the formulation of our annual development budget, tracking donor accounts receivable and pledges, and controlling the development department expense budget. Responsible for coordinating internal and external donor communications, including the development of a cohesive donor communication plan. Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Strong management skills with non-profit development experience The candidate should demonstrate successful development of strategic plans, development of positive and effective board relationships, and knowledge of fundraising strategies 5+ years of experience working in a non-profit, or community-based organization, school, or youth-serving agency Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills Demonstrates the ability to interact in racially, ethnically, and socio-economically diverse environments A proactive and generally optimistic person who is conscientious and goal-oriented Ability to think strategically and work collaboratively Ability to create an Annual Report with the Marketing contractor Must be fully versed with the industry-standard Microsoft Office Suite Ability to be an outstanding advocate of New Ballet Ensemble & School’s mission. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license Flexibility to work nights and weekends for special events Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Experience in managing Salesforce donor software and/or comparable systems Experience developing or working on a comprehensive capital campaign, preferred Donor concierge experience Event management experience #J-18808-Ljbffr Choose901
