Job Description
This role leads plumbing operations on industrial facility projects, overseeing crews while installing, maintaining, and repairing complex plumbing and piping systems. The Plumber Foreman ensures work is completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with codes and blueprints, while actively participating in hands-on tasks such as measuring, cutting, bending, threading, and assembling various types of pipe and tubing.
Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee plumbers and pipefitters on industrial facility projects, acting as a working foreman and running jobs from start to finish.
• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing and piping systems in industrial environments, including pumping stations and plumbing/fire protection systems.
• Measure, cut, and bend various sizes of pipe and tubing to required angles and lengths using pipe cutters, benders, and other appropriate tools.
• Thread and assemble black and steel pipe, PVC pipe, and cast iron piping according to project specifications and industry standards.
• Perform brazing, welding, and mechanical assembly tasks required for piping and plumbing installations.
• Interpret and work from construction blueprints, plans, and code requirements to ensure accurate and compliant installations.
• Conduct code review and ensure all work meets applicable plumbing, mechanical, and fire protection codes and standards.
• Install and maintain plumbing and fire protection systems, including backflow prevention devices, in industrial and commercial settings.
• Coordinate multiple crews on larger projects, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring quality and safety on site.
• Collaborate with other trades such as HVAC and electrical to integrate plumbing and piping systems within broader construction projects.
• Inspect completed work to verify proper installation, plumb alignment, and system functionality, making adjustments as needed.
• Travel to project sites, including out-of-state locations up to approximately 30% of the time, to oversee and support field operations.

Essential Skills

• Master or Journeyman state plumbing certification.
• Industrial or commercial plumbing experience, particularly in large facility or construction projects.
• Proven working foreman experience leading multiple crews on larger projects.
• Strong understanding of industrial facility piping systems, including pumping stations and plumbing/fire protection systems.
• Hands-on proficiency in threading, brazing, cutting, and bending pipe and tubing.
• Experience with steel pipe, black pipe, PVC pipe, cast iron, and general piping installation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, and code requirements.
• Knowledge of plumbing, mechanical, and fire protection codes and standards, including code review practices.
• Backflow certification and experience working with backflow prevention systems.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to approximately 30% out of state for project work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Journeyman or Master plumbing license with experience in industrial or commercial environments.
• Experience in HVAC and electrical systems to support integrated construction projects.
• Experience with rigging and construction site operations.
• Pipe fitting skills, including installation and assembly of various piping materials and configurations.
• Familiarity with welding and mechanical installation in industrial settings.
• Experience with plumbing/fire protection and fire protection systems on construction projects.
• Ability to work from and contribute to construction plans in complex industrial facilities.
• Comfort working in pumping stations and other specialized industrial environments.
• Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills when supervising multiple crews.
• Flexibility to support projects that require travel and work in different industrial facility locations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $93600.00 - $104000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
