We look forward to hearing from you!**Position Summary:**Plans, directs and coordinates activities relating to the materials department activities including safety, quality, productivity and employee relations.**Position Responsibilities:*** Supervises the Materials department’s Team Leaders, Kitters / Pullers and Forklift Truck Drivers.* Plans, directs and coordinates movement of material within the JIT manufacturing facility.* Assist the Materials Manager in appropriate manpower requirements.* Assist in managing material cycle counts and annual physical inventory reconciliation.* Leads process improvement projects: productivity, quality, ergonomics, etc.* Trains employees on their job duties and responsibilities; cross-trains as necessary.* Ensures employees are consistently adhering to standardized work processes and schedules.* Ensures all company policies, procedures, plant standards and safety rules are consistently adhered to.* Collaborates with the Department and HR Managers in administering disciplinary action, when necessary.* Maintains employees’ time related to the Attendance and Time-Off Policies Provides timely feedback on work performance and performance reviews.**Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:*** Excellent problem solving and leadership skills* Detail oriented and excellent documentation skills* Working knowledge of safety standards and OSHA guidelines* Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MRP**Position Qualifications:****Education:*** High school diploma or equivalent**Experience:*** 3+ years of materials supervisory experience or 5+ years materials team leadership experience in a tier-one automotive manufacturing facility.**Work Environment and Physical Requirements:*** Manufacturing Environment* Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly* Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time* Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer***Disclaimer****: This list does not represent all physical demands.
