Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a Night Shift position, working three 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. This role requires floating between multiple locations as needed and entails working every third weekend and holidays as necessary.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional care in an Inpatient Rehabilitation setting for patients with various rehabilitation needs, including but not limited to CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injuries, neurological diagnoses, and generalized debility.
Conduct patient assessments, including the interpretation of laboratory results, medication reconciliation, and history taking related to health questionnaires and allergies.
Monitor vital signs, such as blood pressure, respirations, temperature, and pulse.
Perform dressing changes and assist in setting up aseptic and sterile procedure trays.
Collect specimens and perform capillary and phlebotomy procedures, ensuring proper labeling and handling.
Engage in telephone triage and facilitate pharmacy calls or patient refill requests.
Manage patient ratios, typically 1:6, with a possibility of caring for 7 patients of equal acuity on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

Minimum of one year of nursing experience is required. First-time travelers will not be considered.
Acute Care Rehabilitation experience is highly preferred.
Current BLS certification is required.
Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records is essential.
