Clinical Laboratory Associate I (Contractor)

Freenome seeks a Clinical Laboratory Associate I to support sample processing and equipment maintenance in their clinical laboratory. This contractor position involves hands-on lab work, equipment upkeep, and collaboration with clinical laboratory scientists on diagnostic testing and quality assurance activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform equipment maintenance on centrifuges, freezers, pipettors, sequencers, and automated work cells per SOPs
- Create and label sample batches, manage inventory of supplies and materials
- Support clinical laboratory scientists with reagent preparation, sample testing, and quality control activities
- Document corrective actions when equipment or test systems deviate from specifications
- Assist with training personnel on new procedures and support internal audits
Requirements
- Dependable and detail-oriented with strong team collaboration skills
- Experience with laboratory sample processing and handling procedures
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and documentation protocols
- Flexibility to work assigned shift schedule with potential weekend rotations
