Schedule: Tuesday Saturday | 7:00 AM 3:30 PM

The Opportunity: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pathologists Assistant to join a premier, high-volume diagnostic laboratory in Nashville. This is a vital role within a collaborative pathology team, offering the opportunity to work independently under the guidance of board-certified Pathologists in a state-of-the-art clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Specimen Management: Perform gross examination and dictation for a wide variety of surgical specimens.
• Clinical Support: Prepare and submit tissue for specialized ancillary testing, including lymphoma phenotyping and quantitative iron studies.
• Imaging: Photograph specimens as designated for clinical documentation and consultation.
• Laboratory Excellence: Maintain a high-standard workstation; ensure the cutting room is properly supplied and adheres to all safety and regulatory protocols.
• Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to industry best practices, HIPAA guidelines, and corporate safety policies to ensure the integrity of patient data and laboratory results.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in a Pathologist Assistant program is required.
• Certification: ASCP (or equivalent) certification as a Pathologists Assistant, or eligibility to meet CLIA requirements.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience is preferred, but recent graduates or students nearing completion of a formal PA training program are highly encouraged to apply.
• Ongoing Growth: A commitment to continuing education and staying current with evolving procedural changes and pathology trends.
