Utility Systems Repairer-Operator

Summary This position is part of the Haskell Indian Nations University, Bureau of Indian Education (BIE). As a Utility Systems Repairer-Operator you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the equipment for various heating and cooling systems. Major Duties Operates and maintains heating and cooling equipment for multiple building complexes. Maintains mechanical compression type cooling units, two-ton window air conditioners, air heating and ventilating units, hot water heaters and storage tanks. Monitors water supply and return temperature, outside temperature, relative humidity, and cooling towers. Maintains and services belts, changes filters, lubricates, and installs worn and broken parts. Makes repairs on commercial refrigeration and air conditioning units. Maintains proper steam pressure and temperature by adjusting controls and regulating steam boiler and water pumps. Inspects and performs preventive maintenance on boilers and equipment. Provides preventive, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance services, including emergencies, general repairs, and service calls.
