Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

$4047.36/week - Job Summary: Provides specialized nursing care to women during labor and delivery, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and infant. Supervises and collaborates with healthcare team members to deliver optimal obstetric care within established standards and protocols. Responsibilities: Assess and monitor maternal and fetal health throughout labor and delivery. Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients in labor. Coordinate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. Administer medications and interventions as prescribed, while observing for any adverse reactions. Educate patients and their families about labor, delivery, and postpartum care. Document all clinical assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly. Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor. Recent experience in labor and delivery or obstetric nursing preferred. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in high-pressure situations. Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
