Accounting & Finance
Robert Half is currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper for a contract opportunity with a Cedar Rapids-area employer. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations and is well-suited for someone who enjoys working with financial data, maintaining accurate records, and keeping processes running smoothly.
What You'll Be Doing
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Maintaining and updating financial records
- Performing bank and account reconciliations
- Preparing and posting journal entries
- Assisting with invoicing, billing, and collections activities
- Supporting month-end close processes
- Researching and resolving account discrepancies
- Generating financial reports and spreadsheets as requested
What We're Looking For
-Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial support roles
-Understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations, and general ledger functions
-Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
-Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar accounting software
- Payroll processing experience
- Experience supporting small business or corporate accounting functions
