Travel RN - Cardiac Telemetry

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care / Cardiac Telemetry position in Hawaii, requiring a valid HI RN license and at least 1 year of acute care experience. Requirements Active Hawaii (HI) RN license required by start of assignment - candidates without one must apply upon acceptance of offer Current BLS/BCLS required Minimum 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred ACLS preferred Current PALS preferred NIHSS certification preferred Responsibilities Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) within a hospital setting 15-bed unit comprised of 3 Step-Down ICU beds and 12 telemetry beds Patient ratios: 1:4 for Progressive Care, 1:3 for Step-Down ICU Key procedures include primary nursing care, telemetry monitoring, telemetry strip reading, and fingerstick blood glucose testing Equipment includes continuous cardiac monitors, BiPAP, and Pyxis medication dispensing Charting via Meditech Varied shift schedule, 36 hours per week (after the first week of orientation) No on-call requirements Floating required to all acute care units in-house, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ED 13-week contract All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to the start of assignment; this appointment is held at the facility's Employee Health office and attendance is mandatory Travelers should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start date in order to attend the Employee Health appointment on Friday morning COVID-19 vaccination required Scrubs required Float responsibilities span all acute care units in the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-734742 Open Positions: 2 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
