General Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic insight, operational advice, and leadership related to the division's long‑range business objectives/goals.
• Oversee all aspects of homebuilding operation in the division, including sales, marketing, purchasing, land, construction, and service.
• Lead the division's management team and staff to execute the business plan and adapt operations to meet company‑specific goals, including local and company‑wide initiatives.
• Continuously seek to improve quality, customer service, operational excellence, and overall execution in the local market.
• Monitor relevant changes in the marketplace and position the division to take advantage of opportunities.
• Recommend long‑range strategic and tactical plans for land acquisition and future communities based on market research and competitive data.
• Attract, hire, develop, and retain a talented internal team of employees.
• Develop and maintain a trusted and capable network of external partners, such as trade partners and land brokers.
• Adhere to and promote the company's mission, vision, and values.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, construction, or a related field (MBA preferred but not required).
• Minimum of 8 years of homebuilding experience.
• Experience in at least two distinct areas of the business (e.g., sales and production OR purchasing and finance).
• Experience in a "leader of leaders" role.
