Job Summary
This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located in Peoria, Illinois. The role involves providing advanced nursing care to critically ill patients, including those with neurological conditions such as strokes, post craniectomy, and other acute neurological issues. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Certifications: Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated; BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant ICU experience
• Department: Neuro Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU)
• Patient Ratios: 1:2 in ICU, 9:1 in general duties and 1:3 on higher acuity units, 1:4 on general floors
• Responsibilities and Skills: Manage ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, ventriculostomy, acute stroke management, post craniectomy care, and titrate drips as per physician orders. Read and interpret telemetry strips utilizing Phillips monitors. Readiness to troubleshoot respiratory equipment.
• Additional Information: Rotating every other holiday; orienting with 20 hours (including one 8-hour shift and one 12-hour shift). Floating first to other hospital units including intermediate and general floors.
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois RN license or confirmation of the application process, BLS, ACLS certifications, at least 1 year ICU experience, and ability to work night shifts.
• Submission Requirements: Last four (4) digits of clinician's Social Security Number, middle initial, requested time off, active Illinois license or confirmation, and acknowledgment of drug-free campus policy.
