Available Positions
Kindergarten / Elementary Special Education Teacher
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Focus: Grades 1–3 classroom coverage in a New Windsor area setting
Preschool Special Education Teacher (SFP Program)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Focus: Preschool classroom coverage in a New Windsor area placement
Desired Qualifications
- Valid State Special Education Teacher certification; Early Childhood Special Education and/or K–12 certification strongly preferred
- Experience with self-contained special education classrooms
- Background in IEP development and implementation
- Ability to work effectively with classroom support staff and provide leadership
- Strong behavior management, with experience delivering individualized behavior intervention supports
- State-required clearances (must be completed prior to start)
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver differentiated instruction in alignment with IEP goals
- Create and maintain a nurturing classroom environment
- Collaborate with classroom assistants to support daily instruction and student well-being
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting supports as needed
- Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams
