This exciting role involves working in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment providing specialized patient care to adult inpatient and outpatients undergoing various interventional radiology procedures. The IR RN is a crucial part of the critical embolization response team for trauma patients, requiring critical thinking and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities of the IR RN

• Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures
• Monitor patients intra-procedure and during post-procedure recovery, including PACU
• Participate in trauma patient care as part of the critical embolization response team
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient-centered care
• Follow infection prevention measures, including wearing hospital-issued scrub attire

Requirements of the IR RN

• Valid NYS RN License
• BLS (AHA only)
• ACLS (AHA only)
• Telemetry Experience
• 1 year of recent IR experience
