How you make a difference

The Staff Accountant I supports the accounting and finance department through monthly financial close activities, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and special projects. This role assists with maintaining accurate financial records, preparing accounting entries, and supporting routine accounting operations. The position works closely with senior accounting staff and management to ensure timely and accurate financial processes. The Staff Accountant I also supports the organization by maintaining confidential financial information and assisting with departmental needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, upload, and monitor general ledger and journal entries to support financial reporting activities.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and other routine accounting functions.
• Maintain and organize accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Handle confidential financial information in a professional and discreet manner.
• Assist with financial close activities, reporting requirements, and other accounting projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• College degree in accounting from an accredited college or university

Experience

• Strong Excel experience and attention to detail.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) and Microsoft FRx preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

• None required.

Additional Details

This is a hybrid role based out of our Regional Office in Franklin, TN. Employees are expected to work both on-site and remotely in accordance with business needs and department requirements.
