Core Java Developer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Core Java Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

In this role, you will develop, enhance, debug, support, maintain, and test software applications for Advised Affluent Offering and online benefits systems. You will participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex applications, collaborating with business partners and offshore teams to ensure successful delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, debug, support, maintain and test software applications for Advised Affluent Offering & also supports business units or supporting functions for Benefits online
• Participate in the design, development and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies, software, hardware and tools
• Assist with offshore coordination with offshore teams and collaborate with other programmers and business partners to ensure successful delivery and implementation of the software application
• Work with minimal supervision and guidance from more seasoned consultants, and may also be expected to provide application support
• Collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software application
• Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities

Requirements:

• 8 years of experience
• Java APIs and web development
• Spring boot
• Core Java, developing J2EE Applications involving JSP and Servlets
• IDE like Eclipse or NetBeans or IntelliJ
• App Server experience in deploying J2EE applications using WebSphere or Tomcat or Apache
• WebApi
• Working knowledge on Handlebar/ AngularJS/ React, JavaScript, jQuery, client-side technologies
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience of automated unit testing tools

Desired skills:

• Knowledge of Groovy Framework
• Ability to work in a Lean-Agile environment
• Knowledge of Oracle and T-SQL
• Experience in financial domain
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and demonstrates a willingness to accept additional responsibilities and projects

Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
