Details Work on the 7th floor Med/Surg combination unit (Neuro/Ortho/Pediatrics) of a 225-bed specialty care hospital 24-bed unit serving patients of all ages over 28 days, including neurological, orthopedic, and pediatric populations Common diagnoses include trauma, post-op ortho/neuro cases, and general pediatrics (averaging 0-3 pediatric rooms) Patient ratio of 1:6 Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM 13-week contract with 36 hours per week 3 weekends required every 6 weeks No on-call requirements Floating required to other inpatient units EMR: Paragon (transitioning to Cerner) Requirements Active MI RN license required Active AHA BLS certification required PALS certification preferred Minimum 2 years of adult Med/Surg experience required Pediatric nursing experience (2+ years) preferred ADN or higher required SSN and date of birth required for consideration Candidate's permanent address must be 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates Additional Information Level II Trauma Center Hospital specialties include Heart & Vascular, Cancer Care, Brain & Spine, Rehab, Behavioral Health, Digestive Health, Bariatrics, Women's Health, and Pediatrics Teamwork and collaboration are important qualities for this role Galaxy Blue scrubs required Candidates may not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment American Traveler Job ID #P-723292.
