Interventional Radiology PhysicianSyracuse, New YorkJob DescriptionLoyal Source Government Services is looking for full-time Board-Certified Radiology Physicians to provide services to the Syracuse VA Medical Center located in Syracuse, NY.Job Summary: Radiology Physicians must be efficient, motivated, focus on patient care with our Veteran population. Radiology Physicians are expected to maintain a high degree of accurate productivity and performance while working with our VA community at the Syracuse VA Medical Center in Syracuse, NY. They're required to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and consistent care to individuals.Pay Rate: $318.20 / hrDuties:Responsible for providing on-site clinical and on-call coverage for Interventional Radiology, including, but not limited to the following procedures:AngiographyBalloon Angioplasty/stent placementBiliary interventionBiopsies (CT guided and Ultrasound guided) including Lung, Liver, Renal, Lymph Node, Thyroid, Parotid, Bone, Bone Marrow, etc.Central Line insertion/assessmentChemoembolizationDialysis access & related interventionsDrain/tube insertions and exchanges including Biliary, Nephrostomy, Chest, NU stent, Cholecystostomy, Abscess, Suprapubic, etc.EmbolizationJoint injectionsIVC filtersLumbar PunctureMyelogramsParacentesisRadiologically inserted gastrostomyThoracentesisVertebroplastyMechanisms must be in-place to provide notification of test results for patients receiving care in accordance with VHA Directive 1088Provide consultation with and instruction to referring physicians regarding appropriate indications for interventional radiologic proceduresDetermine the appropriate course of treatment and communicate in person or by phone with the referring clinicians.Provide review of consults and next-day patient cases for minimum of two hours daily. This includes pre-procedural planning, order prioritization, and any orders needing to be placed in preparation for procedure.Provide post-procedure evaluation and follow-up and clinical consultation regarding complications of interventional radiologic procedures, including order placement.Follow all established medication policies and procedures.Provide discharge education and follow up instructions that are coordinated with the next care setting for all emergency department patients.Qualifications:Must have a BLS or ACLS from the American Heart AssociationShall have a current license to practice medicine in New York State.Minimum of 1 year of experience in the fieldMust be Board Certified per the American Board of RadiologyMust provide copy of current DEA certificate.Must have Medical Liability InsuranceShift:· Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM· Required: Must be available partial on call during evenings, weekends, and holidays.Weekdays On Call: Monday through Friday from 4:30pm to 12:00am (midnight)Weekend On Call: 8:00am – 8:00pmHoliday On Call: 8:00am – 8:00pmAdditional Information:This is a 1099 positionAbout Loyal SourceLoyal Source provides healthcare and technology solutions designed to improve outcomes and support mission-critical operations.
