Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Bridge Crest Post AcuteCompensation: $49–$55/hour (DOE)Bridge Crest Post Acute is seeking dedicated and experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our care team. If you are committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a supportive and team-driven environment, we’d love to meet you.Essential DutiesEvaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs, functional limitations, and rehabilitation potential in accordance with physician orders and facility policiesDevelop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independenceAssist nursing department with training of Restorative AidesParticipates in ongoing communication with a supervising SLP to meet or exceed American SpeechLanguage-Hearing Association (ASHA) minimum supervision requirementsCommunicate regularly with physicians, nursing staff, interdisciplinary team members, residents, and families regarding progress, goals, and discharge planningParticipates in Resident Care conferences, Utilization Review meetings, and Rehabilitation meetings as neededProvides in-services on training programs for other staff in the facility as neededComplete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in accordance with facility, governmental, and third-party payer requirementsMaintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control, safety, and equipment maintenance protocolsEducate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment goals, home exercise programs, maintenance programs, safety techniques, and aspiration prevention strategiesRecommend and facilitate the ordering of necessary durable medical equipment for residents to facilitate independence in swallows and cognitionContribute to quality assurance, performance improvement initiatives, and facility rehabilitation program development as assignedAbility to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, staff, and professional colleaguesQualificationsEducation and/or ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, prefer graduates of Masters or Doctorate Program in Speech-Language PathologyProficient in computer skills such as inputting data into programs such as Net Health and Point Click CareLanguage SkillsAbility to read technical proceduresAbility to read and comprehend policy and procedure manualAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, coworkers and familiesMathematical SkillsAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situationsReasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problemAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formCertificates, Licenses, and RegistrationsLicensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of WashingtonEmployee must meet continuing education requirements per state practicesMust maintain a license in good standing at all time with the state board.
