Salary: $20 to $34
We are seeking experienced Forepersons and Helpers to join our dynamic Commercial Roofing team at Burns & Scalo Ohio. This role involves overseeing and assisting with roofing projects on commercial sites, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in construction and roofing, with a variety of skills including blueprint reading, heavy lifting, and the use of hand and power tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead roofing crews to complete commercial roofing projects safely and efficiently
- Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate project execution
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as metal panels, or insulation materials
- Coordinate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of work
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction with a focus on roofing or related trades such as carpentry or masonry
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for construction projects
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and safety equipment used on construction sites
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over long periods
- Experience working on commercial roofing materials and products
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Valid experience or certification in roofing techniques preferred but not required
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety standards at all times
