What You'll Do

• Provide specialized care to adult and geriatric patients with acute leukemia and other hematology diagnoses
• Administer chemotherapy and manage infusion therapies following strict infection control protocols
• Monitor patient responses using telemetry and interpret arrhythmias
• Manage IV therapies, central lines, PICC lines, and blood product administration
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient safety and falls prevention
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic charting
• Support infection prevention efforts and patient education
• Respond promptly to Rapid Response Teams as needed

What You Need

• RN license in Ohio
• BLS, ACLS, ONS Chemo Certification
• Minimum of 2 years of general nursing experience
• Inpatient hematology/oncology experience
• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• IV therapy, blood draws, PICC line management

• NIHSS certification
• Experience with blood product administration and central line care
• Strong patient safety focus and infection prevention knowledge

About the Assignment This opportunity is based at a high-acuity medical unit specializing in hematology and oncology care. The unit handles blood products, IV antibiotics, and electrolytes, with a staffing ratio goal of 1:4 (potentially 1:5). Schedule flexibility allows for a combination of days and nights, with shifts reviewed every 4 weeks.
