Registered Nurse (RN) - Hematology Oncology

Schedule
12-hour Day/Night rotating shifts; assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period; variable weekend shifts based on unit needs.
Assignment Details
Daily census approximately 33; up to 36 beds available.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of current Med-Surg and inpatient hematology-oncology experience within the most recent 3 years.
- Must have direct experience with leukemia, blood dyscrasias, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma.
- Current RN license required.
- BLS certification required; ONS chemotherapy certification required.
- EMR System: Epic experience required.
Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and handle body fluids post-chemotherapy.
- Perform blood and blood product administration.
- Conduct central line care, including sterile dressing changes and blood draws.
- Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias.
- Manage feeding tube care and nasal cannula oxygen delivery.
- Utilize Rapid Response Teams as needed.
- Provide inpatient oncology care related to graft rejection and GVHD recognition.
Compliance / Notes
Credentials and fingerprinting required before start date; completion of Ohio fingerprinting may be necessary. Two professional references are required, including at least one from a manager or director.
