Start YOUR career with DHL today… We have an immediate career opportunity for a Business Analyst II – AGS. The Business Analyst II will serve as a cross-functional resource within AGS. The role will be cross-trained across AGS functions to provide additional capacity, backup coverage, and business continuity while supporting evolving U.S. Customs requirements. The Business Analyst II may also participate when needed in internal stakeholder meetings and, on occasion, external customer meetings and calls as an AGS subject matter expert, alongside Customs Customer Support, Commercial, COG, and other DHL stakeholders. The role will assist in understanding customer requirements and developing and implementing compliant DHL customs solutions related to U.S. Entity creation and governance, reporting, customer parts lists, continuous bonds, and in-bond setups, as well as support other ad hoc customs-related projects as business needs arise. Key Responsibilities: Cross-train and rotate across AGS functions based on business volume, staffing requirements, and operational priorities. Support U.S. Entity creation, maintenance, and importer identity requirements. Support U.S. Customs Bond activities, including continuous bonds, applications, increases, renewals, surety requirements, and related inquiries. Assist with increased bond activity resulting from evolving CBP bonding, importer-vetting, and enforcement requirements. Support ACH setup and related customs payment processes. Prepare and maintain scheduled and ad hoc U.S. import/customs reports. Support customer parts-list maintenance and related customs-data activities. Support customer in-bond onboarding and maintenance, including IT, T&E, FTZ, third-party broker, and other approved DHL in-bond solutions. Review documentation and customer setup requests for completeness and compliance with U.S. regulatory requirements and established DHL processes. Respond to internal inquiries regarding AGS-supported customs processes. Provide cross-trained coverage during vacations, absences, vacancies, workload spikes, and other business-continuity needs. Identify opportunities to standardize, automate, and improve AGS processes. Participate on occasion in customer meetings and conference calls alongside CCS, Commercial, COG, and other DHL stakeholders when required as a subject matter expert in U.S. Entity creation, reporting, customer parts lists, continuous bonds, and in-bond setups, as well as support other ad hoc customs related projects as business needs arise. Assist in explaining established DHL customs processes, requirements, capabilities, and limitations to sales and other internal stakeholders and if needed to external customers in a sales support function. Escalate complex regulatory, compliance, or operational matters to CCS leadership or the appropriate DHL subject-matter expert. Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, Data Analytics, Finance, or equivalent practical experience. Experience in business analysis, customs brokerage, international trade, logistics, operations, or a related role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and summarize findings. Strong Excel skills are required; familiarity with SQL and BI tools such as Power BI and Snowflake is a plus. Ability to work with data from multiple sources and develop reports, dashboards, and analytical tools is a plus. Understanding of U.S. Customs processes, customs brokerage, or trade compliance is preferred. Knowledge of customs bonds, importer setup/CMF, ACH, customs reporting, and in-bond processes is preferred. Training will be provided. Ability and willingness to cross-train across multiple AGS functions and provide coverage based on business needs. Strong customer-centric mindset and ability to understand customer requirements related to Customs & Trade Compliance. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate customs requirements to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Comfortable participating in customer meetings and presenting information when needed. Ability to recognize when matters require escalation to Customs Customer Support leadership, Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, or other subject-matter experts. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a time-sensitive environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across Operations, Customs, Compliance, Commercial, COG, Legal, Finance, and other functions. Familiarity with AI tools and prompts is a plus, including the ability to leverage AI, automation, and advanced Excel capabilities to develop tools and macros, analyze processes, and identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve AGS workflows.
