Overview
Registered Nurse – Operating Room / PACU (travel assignment) in a Critical Access setting located in Clearlake, California. Start date: October 5, 2026. Length: 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 4x10-hour days, with a typical schedule around 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM and on-call duties every third weekend. Travel assignment with Healthforce Healthcare LLC. Weekly pay range: $2,243–$2,397 per week.

Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care in the perioperative setting for patients across age groups, with focus on PACU recovery and immediate post-anesthesia care
- Monitor vital signs, airway status, pain control, and overall recovery in the post- anesthesia/postoperative period
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other perioperative staff to plan and coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Administer medications and adhere to perioperative protocols and safety standards
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately; ensure readiness for hand-off to appropriate units or discharge
- Maintain readiness of life-support and emergency equipment, including familiarity with crash cart procedures

Requirements
- Licenses: Active California RN license
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and PALS required; recertification every two years
- Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of recent perioperative/PACU experience
- Certifications preferred: CNOR, PANAC, AAOPU for Outpatient settings
- Ability to work in a PACU/Operating Room environment and multi-disciplinary perioperative teams
- Vaccination policy: Vaccinations required as a condition of employment (exemptions may apply); E-Verify participation
