Senior Accountant

This position will provide accurate, complete, reliable and timely financial information and ensure company results are in compliance with GAAP and company standard operating procedures. Ability to perform detailed analysis and recommendations to guide business decisions. Effectively schedules and manages meetings as necessary. Possesses excellent follow-through skills and exceptional strong analytical thinking skills. Resolves problematic accounting issues and provides suggestions for improvement.Educational Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree Required with emphasis in AccountingCPA is a plusMBA is a plusSkills/Experience Requirements:3-5 years related experience requiredStrong understanding of GAAPStrong systems skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel is requiredExperience with Oracle preferredExperience with Sage preferredExperience with using AI to improve accounting & reporting processesExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organizationResults and deadline oriented, strong attention to detail, strong work ethic, ability to identify process improvements, ability and desire to take actionStrong Analytical & Problem Solving SkillsStrong Leadership Skills and the ability and desire to drive changePhysical/Work Environment Requirements:Occasional travel required including internationalManually enter data into system by keypad, view PC screen.Communicate verbally and in writing.Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.As an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status.Oversee all accounting activities for our after-market parts businessPreparation of account reconciliationsReview and analysis of month end close including journal entries, account reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and reporting.Oversee and develop cost accounting processes and reports Partner with Operations Management to improve demand planning, inventory management, manufacturing processes, identify cost reductions, and execute changes to reduce costs to the organization Monthly analysis including sales, cost and profitability analysis and variance analysis.Establish, maintain and ensure compliance with Financial/Accounting Standard Operating procedures and GAAPProvide management with sound and timely reports regarding the current and anticipated state of the businessAssist in preparation of annual budget and monthly forecast updatesAct as liaison with Corporate accounting and outside auditors on all accounting related issuesProvide analysis & support to all departments and leadershipLead semi-annual physical inventory counts and related accounting processRegular review of inventory to avoid excess and to reduce obsolete inventory.
