Estate Planning Legal Assistant

A well-established downtown St. Louis law firm is seeking an Estate Planning Legal Assistant to join its Estate Planning Department. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build or continue a career in estate planning, probate, or trust and estate administration. The firm is open to candidates with varying levels of experience, including those who have completed an estate planning internship and are eager to learn. Responsibilities Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and paralegals handling estate planning and estate administration matters Draft, proofread, edit, and format legal documents and correspondence Assist with deeds, property record searches, and document management Maintain client and matter files within the firm's systems Coordinate calendars, meetings, deadlines, and client communications Process mail, FedEx shipments, invoices, and expense reports Scan, organize, and maintain electronic files and estate planning documents Assist with electronic court filings and other administrative tasks Assist with notarization needs as required (notary certification is preferred but not required; the firm may assist the selected candidate in obtaining certification) Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment Estate planning or probate experience is required Candidates with internship experience or a strong interest in estate planning are encouraged to apply This position offers a 35-hour work week, competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, a 401(k), and paid parking.
