As the General Manager at [Hotel Name], you will be responsible for leading all aspects of hotel operations in a select service environment. You will oversee departmental performance, ensure guest satisfaction, and drive financial success. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader focused on operational excellence, team development, and delivering a consistent and high-quality guest experience. You will also be responsible for aligning the hotel’s daily activities with company goals, brand standards, and local market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Oversight:
• Direct and supervise the overall operations of all departments including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and limited-service Food & Beverage areas.
• Ensure that daily operations run efficiently and that brand standards, policies, and procedures are consistently met.
• Team Leadership & Staff Development:
• Recruit, train, mentor, and retain a high-performing team committed to service excellence.
• Conduct regular staff meetings, set performance goals, and foster a collaborative and productive work culture.
• Guest Experience:
• Monitor guest feedback and online reviews to maintain high service scores.
• Resolve guest issues promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive guest experience from check-in to check-out.
• Financial Management:
• Develop and manage the annual budget, monitor P&L performance, and implement cost control strategies.
• Oversee billing, financial reporting, forecasting, and payroll.
• Sales & Revenue Management:
• Drive occupancy and revenue by implementing effective rate and inventory strategies in coordination with the brand or corporate revenue teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and community partners to generate demand and group bookings.
• Maintenance & Property Standards:
• Ensure that the hotel facilities and equipment are maintained in accordance with brand and safety standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and coordinate necessary repairs or improvements.
• Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure the hotel complies with all local, state, and brand-related regulations and standards.
• Manage safety protocols and emergency procedures to protect guests and employees.
• Reporting & Communication:
• Provide regular updates to ownership or corporate leadership regarding hotel performance, guest satisfaction, staffing, and financials.
• Maintain accurate records of operational data, audits, and regulatory documentation.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of hotel management experience, preferably in a select service or limited-service environment.
• Proven leadership, financial acumen, and operational expertise.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with hotel systems such as PMS, POS, and revenue management platforms.
• Ability to multitask and make decisions under pressure.
• Open availability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be IHG Experienced
