Intermediate QA Engineer

What We’re Looking For: We are looking for an experienced Automation QA Engineer from Goa only, with 3–5 years’ experience to lead the automation efforts for all our UI projects using Python. The primary focus of this role is building and maintaining robust automation frameworks. However, you must also be ready to perform manual testing whenever required by the project. You should be adaptable, open to learning new technologies, and proactive about upgrading existing tech stacks. You will be responsible for writing comprehensive test cases, validating UI components, and testing web APIs and workflows.

Role Description:

• UI Automation: Design, build, and scale robust Python-based automation frameworks for modern, fast-rendering web UI projects.
• Tech Evolution: Continuous upgrading of existing test frameworks and adoption of modern testing tools as project requirements evolve.
• Test Case Design: Write, review, and maintain detailed manual and automated test cases covering functional requirements.
• Manual Testing: Perform manual execution of test suites and ad-hoc regression testing whenever required.
• API Validation: Verify RESTful Web APIs for data integrity, functionality, and performance using Python-based tools.
• Jira Management: Log bugs, track tasks, and reference user stories directly within Jira to maintain a clear QA lifecycle.
• Workflow Analysis: Analyse product feature requirements and user stories to map out end-to-end testing workflows.
• Load Testing: Conduct basic performance and load testing on applications to ensure stability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional experience in software quality assurance (QA).
• Language Proficiency: Strong hands-on coding skills in Python for writing test scripts and building automation tools.
• UI Tools: Strong proficiency in modern Python UI frameworks, specifically Playwright or Selenium (experience handling dynamic DOMs and async UI components is highly preferred).
• API Tools: Experience with API testing using Python libraries such as Requests or tools like Postman.
• Load Testing: Familiarity with Python-based performance and load testing tools like Locust (or JMeter).
• Tools Ecosystem: Proficiency using Jira for managing bugs, tasks, and feature testing tracking.
• Test Documentation: Strong ability to write clear, structured, and reusable test cases, scenarios, and checklists.
• Mindset: Strong learning agility with a commitment to learning new tools, languages, and modern QA methodologies.
