Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Express Lane Automotive Maintenance Technician role based in Bloomfield Hills, MI. The technician performs routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks and top-offs, battery inspections, filter replacements, and safety inspections on a variety of vehicles. The role includes inspecting vehicles for wear or damage, communicating findings to service advisors, and following manufacturer and dealership procedures. The technician is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area, properly using tools and equipment, and completing work within designated time standards. Daily work also involves interacting respectfully with customers and team members, documenting services performed, and supporting the overall efficiency of the service lane. Qualifications Ability to perform basic automotive maintenance services (oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, filter replacements, basic inspections). Familiarity with using automotive tools, shop equipment, and following safety procedures in a service environment. Strong attention to detail, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and commitment to quality workmanship. Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a customer-focused and professional attitude. Ability to stand, bend, and lift moderate weights for extended periods and work in a fast-paced service lane. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to safely operate customer and dealership vehicles. Prior experience in an automotive service or quick lube environment is preferred but not required; willingness to learn and complete training is essential.
