Medical Billing Coordinator

Description Bluestem Health is a resource for the entire community for medical, dental and behavioral health services all under one roof. This position is not a remote position, as you will be required to work in the office. Position Summary: The Billing Coordinator generates revenue by following up with insurance companies to ensure appropriate payment on all claims. Essential Duties: Take patient phone calls to resolve questions or take payments Collects delinquent accounts by establishing payment arrangements with patients, monitoring payments and following up with patients when payment lapses occur. Process system credits. Follow-up with insurance on denied and no response claims. Compare payment amount with contract fees to ensure appropriate payment. Work system rejections and edits to ensure clean claims. Query providers with questions about services rendered. Meet with provider relations for various Insurance carriers to discuss trends. Other duties as assigned. Requirements High School Diploma, required Medical Billing experience required Strong computer skills, including data-entry and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word Good oral and written communication skills Excellent attendance Excellent problem solving skills Highly organized and ability to meet deadlines Attentive to detail, quality and accuracy Bluestem Health is an equal opportunity employer.
