Sterile Processing Technician – Surgical Services

Schedule: 8hr Days, Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, no weekends.

Assignment Details: Guaranteed Hours: 40 Contract Weeks: 13

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
• Preferred experience as an OR Liaison.
• Certifications: (HSPA) CRCST or CBSPD and BLS required.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a liaison between the Central Processing Department and the Operating Room regarding supplies, equipment, and set-up.
• Assess the needs of surgeons and the OR staff.
• Identify resources needed to implement new programs/procedures pertaining to surgical instrument preparation and maintenance.
• Ensure the timely management and complete trays are sent to the OR coordinators.
• Oversee daily activities to facilitate efficient case flow and promote communication between departments.
• Collaborate on process improvement initiatives in compliance with industry standards and policies.
• Assist in developing, communicating, and troubleshooting instrument issues.
