Mobile Crisis Assessment and Treatment (MCAT) Team Individuals, 22 years of age and older, served by the MCAT team demonstrate a need for crisis intervention and/or stabilization services or have demonstrated a medical necessity for inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. Priority is given to referrals from DCRs, PSHMC Psychiatric Triage, first responders, hospital emergency departments, and others with concerns about an individual who may be at risk for inpatient psychiatric admission or intervention and stabilization services. MCAT serves individuals who frequently access law enforcement, emergency departments and the legal system. Individuals served may have a co‑occurring disorder and might also be homeless. MCAT also provides crisis response services for individuals the Health Care Authority has identified as a Trueblood class member. Part‑Time Shift (Saturday & Sunday 9PM‑7:30AM) This shift has an added shift differential of 17.46% as outlined below. This is a 20‑hour per week shift which is a .5FTE. Supervisor of Mobile Rapid Response Crisis Teams (MRRCT) The supervisor provides direct supervision of assigned staff and participates in planning and evaluation of the program. The supervisor trains and supervises staff to ensure compliance and implementation of program goals and objectives. The supervisor provides consultation and education to other FBH staff and the community and supports the operations of mobile crisis response in the provision of crisis intervention and evaluation services for youth, adults and families in a behavioral health crisis. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensure the following services are provided in the community by MCAT members: creation or further development of recovery plans and ongoing support to promote care plan goals and objectives; provision of individual services in a range of settings; provision of crisis and hospital diversion services to individuals and families at high risk; provide initial and follow‑up phone and face‑to‑face assessments for clients at high risk to ensure stabilization and/or services were obtained; complete suicide and homicide risk assessments; develop viable safety plans; provide referral services to crisis‑seeking individuals or 3‑rd party referral sources; assist non‑Medicaid individuals to access Medicaid as appropriate. Facilitate use of or access to crisis hospital diversion resources, including stabilization and/or E&T admission. Maintain and provide required data as specified in the SCRBH‑ASO Crisis Response Services Provider Guide. Obtain necessary training for team members to increase their skills for engaging clients so less restrictive alternatives to inpatient psychiatric admissions can be utilized. Provide weekly supervision to each assigned mobile crisis response member. Cover shifts as needed. Be involved in quality improvement projects to assist the team in diverting inpatient admissions. Represent the agency in a positive and professional manner. Maintain and enhance customer service to ensure that both external and internal customers of FBH have a positive experience, as well as establish and maintain a collaborative relationship with FBH staff. Maintain working relationships with the courts, attorneys, private psychiatrists, police and sheriff’s deputies, jail staff, clinical and administrative personnel at inpatient psychiatric facilities, staff of other agencies, advocate and consumer groups and citizens. Comply with all state WAC requirements and FBH policies and procedures. Perform FBH charting requirements, correspondence, Workday, and other paperwork in a complete and timely manner. Participate in peer review, supervision, educational and administrative meetings as directed. MCAT requires travel to see clients in the community and travel between work sites either via FBH owned vehicles and/or personal vehicle. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Master’s degree in the behavioral sciences. Two years’ post‑master’s degree experience in crisis intervention and the direct provision of mental health treatment services. At the time of hire, must meet the requirements of a Mental Health Professional as defined by WAC 246‑341‑0200 by having applied for one of the following DOH credentials: Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor (LAAC) OR Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) OR Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Associate (LICSWA) OR Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA). The credential must be active with DOH within 6 months of hire date unless currently meeting preferred licensure credential requirement below. Must have an unrestricted and valid driver’s license, be able to pass a motor vehicle screening and driving test, have active car insurance, and be willing to use personal vehicle in the course of work. Preferred Active DOH licensure (e.g., LMHC, LICSW, LMFT) in the State of Washington. Licensed employees have the title Supervisor II. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Demonstrated ability to supervise. Demonstrated ability to train and supervise staff in crisis service delivery, case conceptualization and assure staff compliance with administrative requirements. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to send and receive oral and written messages in a clear, positive, prompt, and appropriate manner while maintaining customer confidentiality. Knowledge of Washington Administrative Codes and statutes pertaining to the treatment and delivery of crisis services. Capacity to work cooperatively, independently, and creatively to accomplish assigned responsibilities. Capacity to display a positive, optimistic, accepting attitude toward staff, clients, and the community. Sensitivity to individuals’ unique cultural characteristics and to the challenges faced by the socioeconomically disadvantaged. Pay Range (Hourly/Non‑Exempt) Supervisor I – No Licensure: $36.57–$44.55. Supervisor II – Licensure: $39.45–$48.06. All pay is based on longevity at Frontier Behavioral Health; the starting pay is as follows: Supervisor I – $36.57 hourly, Supervisor II – $39.45 hourly. There is an added shift differential of 17.46% to the pay listed above for the Saturday & Sunday 9PM‑7:30AM shift. This is a .5FTE.
