Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: West Virginia

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), with every other weekend required.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care for surgical cardiovascular and medical cardiac patients requiring progressive monitoring. The nurse will also be responsible for caring for vascular patients, detox patients, and individuals who have undergone amputations.

Responsibilities

• Caring for pre-op and post-op surgical cardiovascular patients.
• Monitoring medical cardiac patients in a progressive care unit (PCU).
• Managing patient care under established patient ratios.
• Providing telemetry care and monitoring.
• Administering medications including Heparin, Cardizem, and other cardiac drips.
• Performing procedures such as central line care, wound vac management, and use of CPAP/BiPAP.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• Experience with IV start, telemetry, and progressive care units (PCU) is essential.
