Ideal for a hands-on finance leader who enjoys wearing multiple hats and contributing to the success of a rural healthcare organization.Code: 48427Category: Finance & AccountingJob Description:The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the hospital's accounting and payroll functions, including financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting support, payroll administration, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. This individual serves as a key business partner to hospital leadership and collaborates closely with Human Resources on compensation, benefits, and payroll-related matters. The Finance Manager acts as a trusted resource for staff and plays a vital role in maintaining the financial health and operational effectiveness of the organization.Worksite Location:Onsite opportunity in Litchfield, Minnesota.Salary:$100,000-130,000 | Competitive compensation package based on experience.Benefits:Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement plan, paid time off, and additional employer-sponsored benefits.Roles & Responsibilities:Lead monthly and annual financial close processes, including preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and supporting schedules.Oversee all accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing.Perform and review reconciliations of bank accounts and general ledger accounts.Partner with the CFO in the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial planning activities.Coordinate internal and external audits and prepare required supporting documentation.Manage the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for all employees.Administer payroll and timekeeping systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance.Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.Prepare payroll-related reports for management and regulatory agencies.Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and issue resolution.Develop, implement, and maintain accounting and payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls.Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through process enhancements and automation.Collaborate cross-functionally with Human Resources and department leadership on payroll, compensation, and reporting matters.Maintain strict confidentiality of financial, employee, and patient information.Support organizational compliance, safety initiatives, and regulatory requirements.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Skills & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.3+ years of accounting and/or payroll experience within a healthcare environment.Strong knowledge of GAAP, payroll regulations, payroll taxes, and wage and hour laws.Experience managing month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and audit support.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.Experience using payroll, accounting, and HRIS systems.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.Understanding of HIPAA requirements and patient confidentiality standards.Preferred Skills & Experience:Previous supervisory or people leadership experience.Experience with Paycom HRIS.Experience working in a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) or rural healthcare setting.Knowledge of CAH regulations, reimbursement structures, and rural healthcare challenges.Experience developing and implementing process improvements and internal controls.About VersiqueVersique: /ver-seek/ adj. being both versatile and unique; n. a high-performance recruiting firm specializing in executive leadership search, direct hire, and interim hiring solutions.Versique Executive, Professional, & Interim Recruiting is a locally owned and operated hiring and placement firm based in the Twin Cities of Minnesota.
