Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make an impact supporting students through a contract Special Education teaching opportunity set to begin September 1 and extend through June 3. This full-time role offers a diverse and rewarding experience working with a variety of age groups and needs within an educational setting.
Your assignment will involve cross-categorical caseloads across the following groups:
- High School (HS)
- Middle School (MS)
- Elementary School (ES)
- Early Childhood
Ideal candidates embrace working collaboratively with colleagues, are passionate about individualized student growth, and possess the flexibility to support students with a range of abilities.
Qualifications:
- Valid Wisconsin Special Education teaching license (appropriate to area of assignment)
- Previous experience or coursework in special education settings
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with parents, staff, and students
- Ability to adapt instruction and interventions to meet diverse learning needs
- Dedication to fostering inclusive, supportive classroom environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to meet IEP goals for students across age groups
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure successful student integration
- Communicate regularly with families regarding progress and strategies
- Support positive student behavior and social-emotional development
