3D Technical Designer – Children’s Apparel-multiple roles-- (Associate - Mid-Level)

Great style starts with a great fit. Join an established NYC wholesale manufacturer of branded and licensed children’s apparel, and help turn creative concepts into well-constructed garments. You’ll bring technical precision and a sharp eye for detail to a role spanning fit, construction, and quality, working closely with Design, Production, and vendors.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with Design and Production to define fit and construction standards that deliver consistent quality across brands.
\n
• Build detailed spec packages with accurate grade rules and style-specific construction details.
\n
• Measure and evaluate development and proto samples for fit, specifications, quality, and workmanship.
\n
• Prepare and lead fit sessions with Design and Production, translating feedback into clear next steps.
\n
• Guide vendors through fit and construction corrections using precise comments, diagrams, and patterns as needed.
\n
• Collaborate with Production and Compliance to ensure garments meet applicable children’s safety requirements.
\n
• Resolve vendor questions on fit, specs, patterns, and construction to keep development moving.

What You Bring

\n

\n
• 2+ years of relevant technical design experience, including childrenswear.
\n
• Experience with Browzwear or similar 3D apparel software.
\n
• Strong sample measurement skills and an understanding of points of measurement, specifications, and tolerances.
\n
• Solid knowledge of knit and woven construction, patternmaking, and sewing terminology.
\n
• An understanding of garment manufacturing and the product development process.
\n
• Proficiency in Excel and Word; Illustrator skills are a plus.
