Description

• Perform comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing both standardized tests and observational assessments.
• Craft individualized treatment plans targeting immediate objectives while considering long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing requirements.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions emphasizing language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate integrated care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and families to reinforce therapeutic gains beyond the clinical setting.
• Assist in the delivery of speech therapy evaluations and interventions on an occasional inpatient basis, ensuring seamless care throughout the treatment continuum.
• Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Enhance knowledge and skills through ongoing education and teamwork with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is mandatory within 30 days of hiring.
