Senior Project ManagerThe Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful planning, execution, financial performance, and delivery of complex construction and building products projects. This role provides strategic leadership for multiple high-value projects while mentoring Project Managers, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with Estimating, Purchasing, Production, Sales, Operations, and executive leadership, the Senior Project Manager drives operational excellence, develops project management best practices, and supports continued business growth through outstanding customer relationships and project execution.Project LeadershipLead multiple complex projects from contract award through project closeoutDevelop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, procurement strategies, and resource plansMonitor project performance to ensure schedule, quality, profitability, and customer expectations are achievedIdentify project risks early and implement corrective action plansReview contracts, specifications, drawings, and project requirements to ensure complianceCoordinate project resources to maximize efficiency and productivityFinancial & Contract ManagementPrepare and manage project budgets throughout the project lifecycleMonitor labor, material, freight, subcontractor, and miscellaneous project costsForecast project profitability and identify opportunities to improve financial performanceManage change orders, contract modifications, and project billing documentationReview project financial reports and recommend corrective actions when neededIdentify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and customer expectationsLeadership & Team DevelopmentProvide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to Project Managers and Project CoordinatorsAssist leadership with balancing workloads and assigning project responsibilitiesSupport onboarding, coaching, performance development, and succession planningPromote consistency in project management processes, documentation, and communicationFoster a collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused team environmentCustomer & Stakeholder ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for key customers, contractors, architects, engineers, and project stakeholdersLead customer meetings, project reviews, and coordination meetingsBuild and maintain long-term customer relationshipsResolve escalated project issues professionally and efficientlyProvide regular project updates, milestone reporting, and executive-level communicationCross-Functional CoordinationPartner with Estimating, Purchasing, Production, Operations, Sales, Quality, Shipping, and Field teams to ensure successful project executionCoordinate production schedules, procurement activities, and delivery timelinesSupport smooth project transitions from estimating through production and final deliveryMonitor material availability and identify potential supply chain risksCollaborate across departments to optimize workflow and project outcomesQuality, Safety & Continuous ImprovementEnsure projects comply with company quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulationsConduct project reviews to identify lessons learned and continuous improvement opportunitiesPromote company safety policies and support safe project executionRecommend improvements to project management procedures, documentation, and operational workflowsSupport strategic initiatives that improve customer satisfaction and contracts, procurement, scheduling, budgeting, and change managementProficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, project management software, scheduling software, and business applicationsIndustry certifications such as PMP, OSHA 30, PTI, or equivalent are a plus depending on business unitAbility to read and interpret contracts, engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specificationsCombination of office, manufacturing, warehouse, and active construction environmentsFrequent collaboration with customers, contractors, vendors, project teams, and executive leadershipRegular travel to customer locations, jobsites, production facilities, and branch operationsAbility to walk active construction sites and manufacturing facilities while wearing required
