Project Manager FX

We are embarking on a multiyear strategic growth initiative which will focus in maximizing market share growth rate while expanding into new and emerging foreign exchange markets and products/services. As part of this growth strategy we are seeking talented Foreign Exchange (FX) IT professionals to join an already established team who will engineer the next generation of FX applications. Candidates will work closely with business users, developers and testers to build applications to support the firm's FX electronic trading, sales trading, risk management trading and customer products. Candidates with a track record for delivery and market experience developing solutions for foreign exchange trading and e-trading market participants will find opportunities to leverage their real life experience in a highly collaborative global organization.

The Project Manager will build and lead projects that will design, and develop core re-useable functionality, tools, and services. These components will enable new product development and integrations and bridge from current systems to the future state. The team is based in Boston and will use agile software development methodologies, Open Source, and a combination of vendor and custom software to deliver capabilities to end users and development teams in a rapid and incremental fashion. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating activities within the team and with other architecture and development teams as required to deliver successful projects.

This Project Manager position will require the candidate to work with a diverse group of individuals including but not limited to Business Sponsors, Business Users, and other IT stakeholders - internal and external.

Candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects concurrently varying in size (as many as 10 individuals) and duration, and will be required to provide status updates across multiple levels of management through the entire project lifecycle.

The candidate will be responsible for defining and preparing all project documentation to meet internal Project standards and comply with all audit and governance requirements. The individual will need to conduct analysis on business requirements, translating them into functional specifications.

Individual must be able to effectively work and communicate across the global organization including Business Sponsors, Project Managers, onshore/offshore Development and QA teams located globally.

Project Management role includes the coordination and communication with end users for UAT planning and execution as well as risk assessment to insure projects stay on track and are delivered on-time without business disruption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree along with 10+ years' experience in Financial Services, preferably: Capital Markets and Foreign Exchange, Derivatives, Equity or Securities Lending.
• 5+ years as personnel manager (Project Managers, Analysts, QA Engineers and/or Developers)
• 8+ years industry experience in the following:
  • Practical trading experience and industry knowledge of trading organization
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management methodologies and demonstrated use of tools and project organization structure
  • Strong Communication skills both verbal and written to communicate across various levels of the organization
  • Candidate must demonstrate adaptability to strategic changes and demonstrate strong initiative and motivation skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a changing environment, while maintaining the value proposition
  • Vendor and Custom built management and application deployment
  • Demonstrate leadership skills
