Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist – South Florida

Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, Hollywood, FL (Enroll from South Florida). Start date bonus available.

Full‑time position with an anesthesia care team of 16 physicians and 16 APPs. The role involves caring for a broad spectrum of pediatric cardiac procedures, including heart transplants, ventricular assist device implantations, neonatal operations, open‑heart surgeries, and cardiac catheterizations. Approximately 8,000 cases are performed annually, with 250‑300 open‑heart cases and 500+ caths. The program is expanding, so case volume is expected to increase.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide perioperative anesthesia care for all pediatric cardiac cases.
• Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in the care of high‑risk newborns and complex cardiac patients.
• Lead or assist in clinical education for fellows and APPs.

Qualifications:

• Current or pending Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia fellowship training, or equivalent experience.
• Strong background in pediatric cardiac anesthesia.
• Board‑eligible or board‑certified in anesthesiology.
