Investment Senior Principal - Middle Market PE Firm

Position: Investment Principal – Private Equity, Middle-Market Buyouts
Location: New York, NY (On-site)
Firm Overview
A middle-market private equity firm is seeking a Principal to support investment execution and portfolio management across industrial, consumer, business services, and technology-enabled sectors.
Role Summary
The Principal will lead key aspects of transaction evaluation, due diligence, deal execution, and portfolio value-creation initiatives. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, transactional experience, and the ability to work directly with management teams and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate investment opportunities through industry research and advisor networks.
- Lead financial modeling, valuation analyses, and preparation of investment committee materials.
- Manage due diligence processes, coordinating third-party advisors and internal teams.
- Support negotiation and structuring of transactions.
- Partner with portfolio company leadership on strategic planning, performance monitoring, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Oversee preparation of portfolio reporting and support exit planning.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to firm-level initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
- Minimum six years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, or related disciplines.
- Strong transaction execution skills and familiarity with middle-market buyout processes.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project-management capabilities.
Work Arrangement
On-site presence in Manhattan is required Monday through Thursday.

Competitive base salary, annual bonus, carried interest eligibility, and full benefits.
