Internal Traveler Program The Internal Traveler Program is an opportunity for healthcare professionals to explore the boundless possibilities at UVA Health. Internal Traveler positions are compensated competitively with other traveler positions, available in a wide variety of clinical practice opportunities, and offered in 13‑week blocks, which may be renewed up to a maximum of 39 weeks. A $2,500.00 incentive bonus is provided with the first 13‑week assignment. Please visit Compensation The starting base rate for this role is $64.00 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate’s qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education. Minimum Requirements Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire. Experience: Varies. Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. Physical Demands Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; attention to detail and ability to write legibly; ability to lift/push/pull > 100 lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, noise, outdoor climate, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
