The ideal candidate also has a strong work ethic, has outstanding communication skills, and most importantly, is a consummate professional who exemplifies outstanding public service.Under general supervision, Maintenance Worker II performs general maintenance and repairs to City facilities, landscape, electrical systems, irrigation systems, plumbing, street trees, sewers, storm drains, streets, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, alleys, street signs, and traffic signals, and performs other related duties as assigned. The Maintenance Worker II performs simple to moderately complex, manual-skilled maintenance work in support of an assigned crew. This class differs from a Maintenance Leadperson due to the level of experience required, complexity of work performed, and greater independence of action within established guidelines. Notice: This recruitment will be filling a current opening in the Field Operations Division - Streets. This assignment specializes in performing concrete/asphalt repairs to City streets, curbs, gutters, and sidewalks.
