In collaboration with key stakeholders, the Assistant Boys Varsity Lacrosse Coach will foster a team environment amongst the athletic community at Loyola. Job Requirements / Essential Functions The Assistant Lacrosse Coach will help with the execution of campus wide events and initiatives that align diversity, equity and inclusion with the school's Catholic identity, mission, Ignatian Spirituality, and the school's commitments to celebrate, educate and advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion. A successful candidate for the position should be able to collaborate, partner and communicate well with faculty, staff, students and community members. Emphasize the values of leadership, sportsmanship and goodness, values that lie at the core of the athletic program here at Loyola Academy. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Have previous successful club, high school or college coaching experience. Organized, hard-working and demonstrate a strong desire to develop young players. Coach will be focused on player development, implementing practice plans and other necessaryfunctions of the program. Practices are at Mon-Sat. at the Theodore Munz Athletic Campus in Glenview . Games are played on weekdays and on the weekends. Candidates will be focused on player development, implementing practice plans and other necessary functions of the program Ability to handle information of sensitive and confidential nature in the utmost professional manner. Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, initiative, resourcefulness, and personal accountability. Attention to detail and adaptability to a changing environment is extremely important as well as dependability. Manage, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks/projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment. Ability to perform complex tasks and prioritize multiple projects. Demonstrated ability to engage others in difficult conversations and manage conflict. Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of information, protect the assets of the institution, act ethically and with integrity, adhere to the administrative and operational policies of Loyola Academy and perform the duties of your position consistent with those policies and the institution's expectations. Requires handling equipment of average weight up to fifty (50) pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day. Qualifications The position requires a bachelor degree, one to three (1-3) plus years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. All coaches will be required to complete ASEP or NFHS certificate and keep up with IHSA compliance requirements. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, as well as knowledge and understanding of the organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures. Familiar withlearning management systems (e.g., Blackbaud)] for education. Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours, ability to maintain a flexible work schedule that may include working nights and weekends.
